McDowall – A Winter’s night

Many thanks for an excellent rehearsal last night on the Mozart and the Haydn. The Mozart has progressed hugely over the last few weeks, so thank you for your hard work preparing it, and keep up the good work! It will be a very successful concert, I’m sure – please encourage your families and friends to join us on 25th November.

As I mentioned in the rehearsal, I intend to take around 15 minutes during next week’s rehearsal to look ahead at A Winter’s Night by Cecilia McDowall. This is the sequence of carol arrangements which we’ll perform towards the beginning of the carol concert. I hope you will enjoy working on this piece, but of course we only have a limited amount of time on it.

Here is the link to the recording of it:

If you have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with it, by following the score (these were issued last night), that would be very beneficial.

With best wishes and many thanks,

Tom
